In July, I went to Goodwill with Richard and Nancy. I looked casually around the store and ended up sitting at a table in the book section. As I sat, I looked at the book titles and saw a brightly colored paperback titled, Stash Envy. Picked it up and skimmed through it and saw that it was about the author's quilting experiences and that she was also funny. The price was 59 cents and with my senior discount, only 53 cents. So I bought it, thinking I would read it and pass it on to a quilter friend.
I enjoyed that book so much. The author had previously written another quilting book, That Dorky Homemade Look. My library didn't have it so I requested it through interlibrary loan. I got it yesterday and it is just as funny! This author, Lisa Boyer, knows how to make me laugh.
Senior discout? No one told me about that!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing about the quilting book. I will try to get it from the library, too. Frances loves to quilt, so I'm going to tell her about this book, and also give her your blog address.
